PURPOSE:To improve removing efficiency for dust and to maintain initial dust collecting effect for a long time by knocking off fine dust sticking to the surface and the inside of a filter in the state of intercepting the introduced air-stream, then letting the knocked down dust fall down smoothly to a discharging port. CONSTITUTION:Air-stream contg. a large amt. of dust is introduced from an inlet 1 of the air-stream, separated into air and dust by the filtration effect of a filter 4 in the inside of a dust collector. The separated air is discharged from an outlet 6 of the air to the atmospheric air. On one hand, the discharge of the dust sticking to the filter 4 is performed in the following manner.For example, when the dust sticking to the left side of a dividing plate 3 is intended to be knocked off, the whole amt. of introduced air is first directed to flow through the right section of the filter by changing the branching damper 2, 7, detecting that no air is flowing in the left section, and the dust is knocked off by the stream of compressed air and mechanical vibration. The knocked off dust falls naturally toward the discharging port 9 of the dust by the effect of the dividing plate 3 without being influenced by the air-stream flowing in the right section, and discharged to the outside atmosphere.
