Mechanism for coupling a clutch release bearing in accordance with the main patent, comprising a sliding clutch release bearing equipped with an attacking element 9 in which there is formed a circular groove 10 which can receive an elastic snap ring 8, a diaphragm 1 forming part of the clutch mechanism, a washer 2 equipped with elastic tabs 3 pressed onto the diaphragm 1 so that the tabs 3 may grip the snap ring 8 so as to press it onto a support ring 5 coaxial with the diaphragm 1; the washer 2 is equipped with elastic tags 16 shaped so as to exert on the snap ring 8 an elastic pressure keeping it pressed against the elastic tabs 3 after uncoupling of the release bearing, which prevents the snap ring from falling into the clutch mechanism. <IMAGE>
