The railway or road bridge is entirely prefabricated 4 without foundation on a platform at the height of the top of the deck of the future installed bridge and away from any traffic. The straight feet end with keels; the bridge is moved until it is directly above its future position and is sunk by successive horizontal earthwork operations. Depending on the temporary or final nature of the immobilisation, the following are used: a. Temporary shoring 17 installed on a layer of gravel-cement mixture 16; the traffic may be reinstated while waiting for the final foundations; b. A layer of gravel-cement mixture 16 is installed, the foundations 12 and 13 are built, and in order to counteract any additional sinking following the reinstatement of the traffic, horizontal formwork 20 and shoring 21 are formed. n
