The safety glass comprises a number of sheets of glass 1, ... 5 and one or a number of sheets of plastic 10, 11 assembled against each other. The sheets of glass 1, ... 5 are applied directly against the sheets of plastic 10, 11 and are bonded to the latter by a strand of adhesive 14 applied all around the periphery of the glazing by covering the cut edge 13 of the sheets of plastic 10, 11, this adhesive exhibiting at room temperature a peel strength of at least 30 kg/cm<2> and an elongation at break of at least 500 %. Use for producing burglarproof or bulletproof glass. <IMAGE>
