PURPOSE:To improve the measuring sensitivity of a light emission analysis by forming a flow cell to a spherical body consisting of glass or plastic, also forming it as a sample tube by making it penetrate a cylindrical hole, and forming the surface of the spherical body except an emitting window. CONSTITUTION:A sample tube 1 is formed by making a spherical body formed by a material quality 8 which scarcely causes an optical attenuation, such as glass or plastic, etc. penetrate a hole passing through the center of a cross section of a cylindrical projecting part of the upper and lower parts of the spherical body and the center of the spherical body, and polishing it. Subsequently, an emitting window 2 is provide on a prescribed point where a straight line orthogonal to a vertical axis of the sample tube 1 crosses the surface of the spherical body, also a reflecting mirror is formed by covering the whole surface of the spherical body except the emitting window 2 with a metallic film by means of vacuum vapor-deposition, and it is covered with a resin film 4. Accordingly, the greater part of a light 7 by a light emission by the sample tube 1 repeats a reflection in the spherical body and it is condensed to the emitting window 2, and a loss of the light becomes extremely small. In this way, a flow cell having a high measuring sensitivity can be obtained. |
