The food dispenser for pets is noteworthy in that it comprises compartments receiving metered amounts of food and access to which is obtained by means of a preestablished programming characterised in that it comprises a body 1, forming the base support of the dispenser and arranged on its periphery in order to form a reservoir 1<1> for a liquid, an upper plate with cavities with fixed position disposed in a plane above the said body, a profiled cover 3 mounted so as to rotate in a controlled manner and capable of covering the body/plate assembly and provided with at least one access opening 3<1> to the said upper plate 2 in order, successively and in a programmed manner, to be opposite each of the cavities of the said plate, and at least one permanent access opening 3<2> to the reservoir 1<1> of the base body, a mechanism and means permitting control and step-by-step rotation of the cover. <IMAGE>
