PURPOSE:To obtain an inexpensive non-reflection connector which permits the use of a general adapter by inserting and fixing a capillary having an optical fiber at the center into a tapered cylindrical member and projecting slightly the front end of the fiber. CONSTITUTION:The front end of the cylindrical member 7 of an optical connector plug is tapered. The capillary 6 inserted and fixed with the optical fiber 5 in a tube is inserted and fixed to the center of the member 7. The front end of the capillary 6 is projected from the member 7. Since the front end of the member 7 is tapered, the front end of the fiber 5 is in the same position as the capillary 6 or is slightly projected therefrom. The connection of the fibers 5 to each other is thereby made possible and therefore there is no spacing at the fiber ends and the non-reflection connection is attained. The inexpensive connector is obtd. as the general adapter is usable.
