发明名称 PRODUCTION OF GRANULAR POLYMER
摘要 PURPOSE:To obtain at low cost a grannlar polymer with high heat resistance, suitable for coatings, etc., by the reaction, at specific temperature under a pressurized state, in the presence of non-aqueous organic solvent insoluble for the polymer to be formed, between polyisocyanate and (acid anhydeide group- contg.) polycarboxylic acid. CONSTITUTION:In the presence of (1) a non-aqueous organic solvent insoluble for the polymer to be formed (pref., an aliphatic or alicyclic hydrocarbon with a boiling point 50-150 deg.C). (2) a dispersion stabilizer soluble in the solvent(1) (e.g., a random copolymer from lauryl methacrylate and glycidyl methacrglate and (3) a second non-aqueous organic solvent soluble or swellable for the poly mer to be formed, essentially immiscible with the solvent(1) (pref., N- methylpyrrolidone), (A) a polyisocyanate and (B) an acid anhydride group-contg, polycarboxylic acid (pref. trimellitic anhydride) and/or (C) a polycarboxylic acid (pref., isopthalic acid) are made to react, under a pressurized state, at a temperature higher than the boiling point of the solvent(1), thus obtaining the objective granular polymer dispersed in the solvent(1), with an average size, pref. 0.5-100mu.
