发明名称 EXHAUST UNIT OF INTERNAL-COMBUSTION ENGINE
摘要 PURPOSE:To prevent occurrence of corrosion on account of attack of sulfuric acid caused by application of a waste heat recovery unit by replacing the exhaust gas inside an exhaust pipe with fresh air immediately after stop of operation of an engine, in an energy conversion system using an internal-combustion engine in operation with fuel containing sulfur. CONSTITUTION:Exhaust gas ejected from an internal-combustion engine 1 is discharged from a stack 4 after passing through a waste heat recovery unit 2 and a silencer 3 connected together by means of an exhaust pipe 5. When the internal-combustion engine is detected in its halt situation, a full-open command signal and an operation signal are transmitted to a motor-driven sluice valve 7 and a blower 6 respectively. The blower 6 supplied air 9 to the waste heat recovery unit 2 via an air supply piping 8 and the motor-driven sluice valve 7. Therefore, the most of exhaust gas is replaced with fresh air, causing no condensation of steam so that the sulfuric acid stuck on the inner wall etc of exhaust pipe 5 can be prevented from being diluted. After the lapse of predetermined time, a stop signal and full-close command signal are transmitted to the blower 6 and the motor-driven sluice valve 7 respectively.
