METHOD FOR DIAGNOSING INSTALLATION OF DL TYPE SINTERING MACHINE

PURPOSE:To diagnose the installation of a DL sintering machine and to control the machine to prevent the deterioration thereof by detecting the traveling condition of a pallet from the current value of a sintering machine driving motor which drives a sprocket on an ore feed side and the total abrasion loss at the end face of the pallet. CONSTITUTION:A sintering layer is formed by a bedding supplying device 5 and a raw material supplying device 6 on the pallet 3 which is moved toward an arrow 1a by the sprocket 2b on the ore feed side driven by the sintering machine driving motor 8 and the sprocket 2a on the ore discharge side. This DW sintering machine 1 yields the sintered ore by igniting such sintering layer by a burner 9 of an ignition device 7 and ventilating air thereto by suction through a window box 4. The total abrasion loss at the end face of the pallet 3 of the above-mentioned sintering machine is measured and the required number of the pallets are successively replaced from the pallets 3 having the larger abrasion loss at the end face when the measured abrasion loss attains the prescribed value. The pallets 3 are properly exchanged when the current value of the above-mentioned motor 8 deviates from the normal value range. The adequate thickness of air sealing is thus maintained.
