PURPOSE:To obviate defective cleaning even after long-term use by bringing a cleaning blade into intermittent contact with a latent image carrying body. CONSTITUTION:The excitation of a solenoid 4-7 is controlled, by which the cleaning blade 4-1 is brought into intermittent contact with a photosensitive drum 2 which is the latent image carrying body. Said blade contacts at least twice with the drum 2 during the backward rotation in image formation. The always stable image is obtd. without the defective cleaning even after the long- term use by such intermittent contact. |
