PURPOSE:The titled composition forming fine closed cells, obtained by heating a polypropylene resin, an ethylenic unsaturated silane compound, a blowing agent, and an inorganic fine powder filler in the presence of a radical generator at a temperature <= the decomposition temperature of the blowing agent. CONSTITUTION:(A) 100 pts. wt. polypropylene such as crystalline polypropylene, atactic polypropylene, etc., (B) 0.1-10pts.wt. ethylenic unsaturated silane com pound, preferably vinyltrimethoxysilane, etc., (C) 0.1-40pts.wt. blowing agent having preferably >=140 deg.C decomposition temperature, especially azodicarbonamide, and (D) 0.01-10pts.wt. inorganic fine powder filler having 1mmu-10mu particle diameter, such as fine particle silica, perlite, etc. are heated in the presence of (E) 0.01-5pts.wt. radical generator, at a temperature <=the decomposition temperature of the component C, to give the aimed composi tion. The prepared composition is molded in the presence of a silanol condensa tion catalyst, exposed to a water atmosphere, and heated at a temperature >=the decomposition temperature of the component C, to give foam.
