PURPOSE:To obtain a high-concentration coal slurry with highly efficient deashing treatment, by classification of a low-concentration ground coal slurry after the pipelining, subjecting the resultant slurry free from coarse coal particles to flotation-deashing treatment, carrying out concentration followed by wet-grinding-mixing together with the coarse coal. CONSTITUTION:Raw coal is ground and mixed with water to make a low- concentration slurry with a coal content <=60wt%, the resultant slurry being conveyed through pipeline 3 followed by classification, using classifier 4, into coarse coal and a slurry free from coarse coal. Following that, said slurry is introduced, together with water, foaming agent (and scavenger), into deashing machine 5 to remove the ash in the coal; the resultant slurry being dehydrated by thickener 6 followed by introduction of the resulting concentrated slurry in combination with said coarse coal into wet-grinding mixer 7 together with water (and an additive), carrying out grinding-mixing, thus obtaining the objective high-concentration coal slurry.
