Closure for reinforcing rod passages in concrete

The closure has a plate (34) which can yield elastically when a reinforcing rod fastener is forced into it with a force above a predetermined value. The plate forms a passage (16) for the rod, which is closed when the rod is in position. The plate can be made of rubber and it can be fixed in a recess (18,22) in the outer surface of a cladding (14). The closure can have a collar (32) which is sealed by the rupturable plate. The latter can be slotted to form individually movable segments.
