<p>A method of deodorizing oxidizable sulfur compounds by oxidizing and decomposing them using ultraviolet rays and an apparatus used therefor, wherein oxygen-containing gas that contains oxidizable sulfur compounds is irradiated with ultraviolet rays in the presence of titanium oxide or zinc oxide, or in the presence of a mixture of metal oxides. This invention is capable of efficiently decomposing oxidizable sulfur compounds which are causes of offensive odors even when their concentrations are very low.</p> |
