The TRANSITION RAIL between two floor coverings (PVC floor covering/carpeting) comprises a RAIL LOWER PART and a RAIL UPPER PART. The rail lower part consists of metal or plastic and can be fastened on the floor by screws, nails and/or self-adhesive tape. The web of the rail upper part consists of plastic, as does the entire rail upper part. It is pushed into the guide, which has been provided, of the rail lower part. The guide of the rail lower part is retained such that the rail upper part cannot slip.
