PURPOSE:To aim at simplification in a mechanism, by fitting a head body in a spline shaft, while installing a linear motion bearing in a fitting part and setting a whirl-stop in the head body, in case of a holding device for a tube bulb chuck mechanism in a tube bulb manufacturing plant. CONSTITUTION:A support block 11 is provided with a setting hole 12 to which an upper part of a spline shaft 15 is locked. A head body 17 is fitted in this spline shaft 15 free of vertical motion via a linear motion bearing 16. And, in a front part of the head body 17, there is provided with a chuck mechanism 19 chucking a tube bulb mount part (a), and a roller 21 rotatably pivotted on a roller pin 20 is installed in the rear part. This roller 21 rolls on a cam as a vertical moving mechanism and is designed so as to transmit its up-an-down motion to the head body 17. Therefore, the head body 17 accurately moves up and down without goosenecked motion, thus it may move the mount part (a) up and down in a proper manner.
