摘要 PURPOSE:To make it possible to attain the shift of operation of a stepless speed change unit into a desired acceleration in a short time, by controlling a gear ratio regulating section such that the greater the absolute value of difference between an actual vehicle acceleration and a desired acceleration, the greater the change rate of gear ratio of a stepless speed change mechanism becomes. CONSTITUTION:In an arrangement in which the gear ratio of a speed change mechanism 9 is changed by means of a gear ratio regulating section A, there are provided an accelerator operation detecting section B for detecting the operating condition of an accelerator regulating means, and a vehicle acceleration detecting section C. Further there are provided a setting means D for setting a desired acceleration of a vehicle in accordance with the output of the accelerator operation detecting means B, and a supply means E for feeding a control signal to the regulating means A in order to continuously attain the set desired acceleration. Further more, there is provided a computing means F for calculating the difference between the desired acceleration and an actual acceleration. A control means G changes the control signal to operate the regulating section A such that the greater the absolute value of the above- menioned difference, the greater the change rate of the gear ratio becomes.
