<p>Cork is comminuted to granular particles and then, mixed with the required quantity of binder, cast into a mould so that, after solidification and curing has taken place, the product shows the desired strength features and mechanical properties, the cork preferably in the uncooked state reaching a particle dimension from 15 to 30 mm, preferably from 20 to 25 mm and most preferably from 22 to 24 mm. The product, or block, intended for forming internal partition walls contains, for use, 60 to 90% of cork comminuted to granulated particles, and the remainder, i.e. from 40 to 10%, is a binder, for example a cement mortar.</p> |
