PURPOSE:To provide a means that ensures release operation and improve operation by operating a hooking member that is engaged and disengaged to the teeth of the sector of a foot stepping-on lever through an operation member by way of a release handle and devising the support position of the hooking member. CONSTITUTION:The titled device withdraws a brake cable B and operates a brake mechanism by stepping a foot stepping-on lever 30 downward against a spring 32. In this case, an operation member 40 is pivoted in close vicinity to the base end of the foot stepping-on lever 30 by a pivoting axle 41 and a hooking member 50 that is engaged and disengaged with a sector 35 formed on the stepping-on lever 30 is pivoted 52 to the same member 40. The operation member 40 is engaged and disengaged by the operation of a release handle 60. In addition, the hooking member 50 pivots the pivoting axle 52 so as to be positioned at the operation member 40 side from a line connecting a point in which a load is applied to the pawl 51 and the pivoting axle 41 when the pawl 51 is engaged with the teeth of the sector 35. Besides, an engagement section 56 that interferes to the hooking member 50 is provided so as to be detached from the teeth of the sector 35 at the release operation of the hooking member 50. |
