<p>An air-filled tyre made of elastic material, which is intended to be fitted with its heels into annular recesses on the inside of the annular rim of a vehicle wheel. The heels are desinged to be able to expand and compress in a limited manner and before fitting have a larger diameter than the annular recesses of the rim, so that when fitted they are pressed into the recesses of the rim and thus distorted and cannot accidentally become loose from these recesses. Supporting profiled rings made of metal can further reinforce the application pressure of the heel in the recesses and limit its compressibility.</p> |
