Jigsaw which contains a housing (1) in which a sliding block (3) is movably arranged, to which a saw blade (12) is fastened. A reciprocating movement is imparted to the sliding block (3) by a drive whose shaft (4) interacts with an arm (16) of a double-armed lever (14), the other arm (15) of which acts on the saw blade (12). There is a device for regulating the oscillation amplitude of the double-armed lever (14). This device is provided with a pin (14). A drive element (21) is equipped with a guide (28, 29) which is essentially parallel to one arm (16) of the double-armed lever (14). Attached to this guide (28, 29) is a plunger (30) which has a supporting surface (31) which is parallel to the axis of the sliding block (3) and with sliding ability interacts with the pin (24). <IMAGE>
