The earth-contact plug socket has a base (8) in which chambers which are open in the insertion direction are constructed for holding plug sockets and connecting terminals (2, 3) and a recess (83) which is located between the plug sockets is constructed for holding an earth-contact clip (7). The intermediate web (71) of the earth-contact clip (7) is provided with a hole (72) into which a retaining screw, which is used for attachment of a plug socket container, engages. In order to attach the earth-contact clip (7) to the base (8) more securely, said clip is held on both sides of its centre by two U-shaped clasps (5, 6) which engage over the intermediate web (71) of the earth-contact clip (7) and the base (8). Constructed on the free arms of the clasps (5, 6) are latching elements which correspond with equivalent latching elements which are integrally formed on the base (8) and make it possible to anchor them thereon. <IMAGE>
