<p>PURPOSE:To improve the coincidence of an axle shaft and offset the generation of play by fitting upper and lower ring gears in a common mounting boss section in a mechanism that maintains a mounting member such as a steering pad in a non-rotary state. CONSTITUTION:A steering wheel 9 is mounted on the tip of a steering shaft 2 inserted in a steering column 1 so as to freely rotate in the core metal 13 of a spoke section 15 through a mounting boss section 16. Upper and lower ring gears 21 and 33 are fit to the mounting boss section 16 in cylindrical sections 18 and 19 formed upward and downward so as to freely rotate relatively and a planetary gear 42 supported on the mounting boss section 16 is engaged with both gears 21 and 33. In addition, an electric unit 27 fit by a center pad 32 is secured to the upper gear 21. At the same time, an engagement recess 4 and an engagement piece 39 are formed at the opposing location between the base member 3 on the upper end of the steering column 1 and the lower ring gear 33 and connector terminals 7 and 40 are provided at the same location.</p> |
