For a small transformer having a coil former (10) and a winding which is located thereon, it is proposed to provide a separate tension-relief element (25), in order to relieve tension on connecting conductors which are joined thereto, on which the ends of the connecting conductors (37) are inserted into in each case one opening (33...36), and the further course of the connecting conductors is guided at right angles with respect to these openings. Integrally formed on one side of the tension-relief element are at least two profiled feet (22, 23, 24) which are pushed into grooves (14, 15, 16) (which are profiled to correspond to the feet) on the coil former (10), and are held therein. In this case, the connecting conductors are clamped in - indirectly or directly - close to their region which is guided at right angles, between the tension-relief element and the coil former. In order to improve the clamping-in of the connecting conductors, separate projections can be provided between the feet, in which projections the connecting conductors can be clamped. <IMAGE>
