PLASTIC RADIATOR FOR TRANSVERSE-FLOW COOLING SYSTEMS OF INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINES

A transverse-flow radiator for internal combustion engines which is equipped on its front side with a plastic water chamber and a storage, air venting and balancing chamber through which an ancillary flow passes. Between the radiator and water chamber is an air venting line, composed of a high point of the radiator passing across a liquid lock into the chamber, and integral with these elements. The vertical main part of the venting line possesses a lower opening which controls a discharge valve with discharge connections, which can be mutually connected or closed off, leading to the radiator, chamber and a discharge opening.
