PURPOSE:To efficiently flow cooling fluid into horizontal channels and increase cooling effect for coils by arranging some insulating-cylinder-side oil plugs in insulating-cylinder-side vertical oil channels and also intermediate oil plugs in the central vertical oil channel. CONSTITUTION:Insulating-cylinder-side vertical oil channels, the central vertical oil channels and horizontal oil channels are formed between either of insulating cylinder of internal side and external side and the corresponding coil layers, between coil layers, and between vertical disklike coils respectively. Either of insulating-cylinder-side vertical oil channels is divided into more than two annular sections using insulating-cylinder-side oil plugs. An intermediate oil plug is fit midway through the central vertical oil channel in a section. If the step number of horizontal oil channels contained between the position of the insulator side oil plug and that of the intermediate oil plug in the upper stream of cooling fluid in one section is (n) and the corresponding step number in the lower stream is (m), the oil plugs are so arranged that m>=n and n/m=1-4/5 may be satisfied. It is further desirable that either (m) or (n) is determined to be less than 15 and preferably 5-10. |
