PURPOSE:To improve operating efficiency and safety by providing an attaching and detaching bed of chock for steel-shape rolling roll and arranging a traveling truck used for mounting a roll end-face holding device and said bed thereon. CONSTITUTION:Attaching and detaching beds 3a, 3b of chocks for steel-shape rolling rolls and roll end-face holding devices 2a, 2b are disposed on traveling trucks 1a, 1b respectively. Firstly, the trucks 1a, 1b are stopped after aligning the axial center of a roll 9 with the centers of devices 2a, 2b. After holding the steel-shape rolling roll 9 by the devices 2a, 2b, the beds 3a, 3b are raised to support chocks 8a, 8b. Next, the chocks 8a, 8b are horizontally detached and the devices 2a, 2b are retreated. In this way, the safety and operating efficiency of the attaching and detaching operation of chocks are improved. |
