PURPOSE:To make partial input of any optional area on a form possible simply and fast by running controlling an image sensor head based on a location information of the specified area specified directly by an operator. CONSTITUTION:A microcomputer 21 gives a motor driving command to an X direction motor control part 23 and a Y direction motor control part 24 to move an image scanner head to a reading-out starting position by driving stepper motors 3 and 6. The X direction stepper motor 6 travel-controls a head 2 to the X direction at a constant speed to start reading. The read-out image is stored at an image storage part of a memory 27 through an image input control part 25. When one line of the image reading-out has been completed, the microcomputer gives a driving command to the Y direction motor driving part 24 to move the Y direction stepper motor 3, processing to the next line. Thus, the image input of any part is made possible.
