PURPOSE:To utilize a camera as a dubbing recorder by applying an external signal to a recorder in a camera via a switching circuit. CONSTITUTION:The video camera 1 is incorporated with a video camera pat 9 and a VTR10 and connected to an external VTR23 by cables 37-39 with a plug. In case of dubbing, each plug is plugged into each corresponding jack, and then a luminance signal, a chrominance signal and a sound signal from a reproducing circuit 26 in the VTR23 are fed respectively to a recording circuit 6 of the VTR10. In this case, the chrominance signal from the reproducing circuit 26 is fed to a frequency converting circuit 22 via a switch 21 in the camera 1, the signal is converted into a low frequency carrier and fed to the circuit 6. Thus, the signal on a tape 25 of the VTR 23 is recorded on a tape 7 of the VTR10.
