Method and arrangement for the program control of a washing machine

Method for the program control of a washing machine with a water inflow of regulated water level, in which the water quantity which flowed into the tub at the start of the washing program is detected by a measuring device, and in which different washing-process criteria, such as the water level, number of washing or rinsing cycles, washing-agent metering and the like, can be fixed in dependence on this inflow quantity. The measured values detected by the measuring device and dependent on the water level are fed to an evaluator and are processed by this in such a way that the measured level fluctuations per filling cycle (filling step) in the tub and the number of counter-recorded tub water refillings per washing stage are communicated to a computer. The communicated measured and signalled values are a measure of the absorbency of the type of laundry entered in the program control. The individual washing-program parameters for the particular type of laundry introduced are then determined from these in the computer.
