This is a spray extraction device which is particularly suitable for the household and consists substantially of three modules (1, 2, 3). The first module (1) is an operating part (4), the second module (2) is a suction container (5), and the third module (3) is a spraying part (6). The operating part (4) and the spraying part (6) are electrically connected to one another. The three modules (1, 2, 3) are each of box-shaped construction and are arranged in three parallel planes located vertically one above the other and are attached so as to be releasable from one another. The mutually facing base surfaces (10-10''') of the individual modules (1, 2, 3) have approximately identical outer contours. In total, the device has a case-shaped design which has a smooth surface towards the outside. The electrical connection between the operating part (4) and the spraying part (5) runs inside the device and is effected via a plug-in apparatus (124) which can be produced and released instantaneously in such a way that the electrical connection is automatically interrupted or produced when the modules are taken apart or fitted together, respectively. <IMAGE>
