PURPOSE:To prevent the occurrence of unfixed data, by a method wherein the length of a splice table used for connection of the cuts of a continuous paper is variable. CONSTITUTION:FCB (length of a paper needed by a pair of data) is (b), and the fold length of a paper 11 is (a). When, for example, the specified length (b) of FCB is different from the folding length (a) of the paper, a splice table is variable in length so that a distance from a transfer point A of a transfer part 5 to a final terminal C of the paper 11 is increased. Namely, a lock screw 25 is removed, and a slide table 24 is slid leftward from a solid line to a dotted line shown in a drawing. This prevents the final terminal C of the paper from being positioned to the right (the side near to transfer) of a spliced-in B. This prevents disengagement of the paper 11 from a tractor 15, prevents increasing of a speed at which the paper passes through a fixing device, and prevents the occurrence of unfixed data due to deficiency in a fixing time. |
