PURPOSE:To reduce man power and to easily manufacture a magnetic head by heating and softening glass as high-fusion-point cement adhered to a nonmagnetic substrate. CONSTITUTION:The glass having, for example, 200 deg.C working temperature is adhered to the nonmagnetic substrate 1 by sputtering as the cement to an about 1Xm to manufacture a 'Sendust(R)' alloy thin plate as a magnetic metallic thin plate 2 by a fusion body superquenching method, thereby forming a lami nate body 4 by heating. Then, the block 4 is sliced at a necessary azimuth angle theta into laminate block constituent pieces 5, and a winding groove is formed in one of constituent pieces 5 and 5; and abutting surfaces 5a and 5a of the both are polished, and coated with Al2O3, etc., as a gap spacer 7 and further coated with glass as cement 8. Then, the both are pressed against each other and heated to obtain a head block 9. The top surface of the block 9 is made round by polishing 10, nonmagnetic substrates 1 and 1 are cut at their center positions, and winding work is carried out to obtain a magnetic head. |
