PURPOSE:To prevent shortage of working fluid in a torque converter by providing two supply passages for supplying working fluid to a back chamber and a working chamber of a lock-up clutch. CONSTITUTION:In case of on-operating a lock-up clutch, a supply passage 8 is connected to a drain tank T through a switch valve 80 so that working fluid in a working chamber S2 is released through the supply passage 8 to the tank T. In case of off-operating the lock-up clutch, the switch valve 80 is switched to connect the supply passage 8 to an oil pump P. During both on and off operations of the lock-up clutch, working fluid is always reliably supplied to the back chamber S1 through a supply passage 6, so that a torque converter 1 is prevented from shortage of working fluid. |
