1,036,534. Endless conveyers. GUSTAV GOCKEL MASCHINENFABRIK G.m.b.H. April 28, 1964 [May 2, 1963], No. 17528/64. Heading B8A. [Also in Division B1] Sludge 9 is carried out of one end of a settling tank between an endless belt 7, forming the tank floor, and a second belt 23 which cooperates with belt 7. Belt 23 passes over a roll 24 which is mounted on pivoting arms 26, and roll 24 also deflects belt 7. Any undue upward displacement of roll 24, e.g. by a large object entering the bight between belts 7, 23, triggers an alarm. Belt 7 is driven by motor 34 through a slipping clutch, which may be of the ratchet type thereby giving an acoustic signal on response. |
