PURPOSE:To reduce the number of output pins of partial data comparator circuits, by numbering plural comparator circuits in each partial data comparator circuit and detecting the coincidence of the minimum number of one of the comparator circuits, at which data coincide with each other, with each partial data. CONSTITUTION:The high-, intermediate-, and low-oder eight bits 30, 31, and 32 of a comparing data register 33 are respectively inputted in partial data comparator circuit A, B, and C and compared with partial data of plural referring data stored in registers 2-13 at comparator circuits 14-25. Compared results are sent to minimum number implementing circuits 41-43 in each partial data comparator circuit and only comparator numbers which are equal to and larger than the maximum number sent from a maximum number implementing circuit 73 are outputted, and then, a number which is coincident at a minimum number coincidence detecting circuit 72 becomes the number of reference data to be found. On the other hand, the maximum number implementing circuit 73 selects the maximum one out of minimum numbers sent from each partial data comparator circuit and supplies the selected maximum number to decoders 75-77 of the input of the minimum number implementing circuits 41-43.
