<p>The title compds. (I), useful as antiinflammatory agents., antirheumatics and analgesics, were prepd. by the reaction of II and 2-(m-benzoylphenyl) propionic acid (III). Thus, 9.6g phosphorous trichloride (0.07 mol) was added with 37.6g 2-amino-4-methyl pyridine (0.4 mol) to give a phosphazo derivative, which was reacted with 30.5 g 2-(m-benzoylphenyl)-propionic acid (0.12 mol) to give 38.9 g 2-(2- m-benzoylphenyl)propionamide4-methylpyridine HCl salt (85.5%).</p> |
