PURPOSE:To provide an outer shell of class II electric equipment, which has excellent mechanical strength and resistance to tracking and heat, by molding a compsn. contg. an arom. polycarbonate, an acrylic elastomeric polymer and glass fiber. CONSTITUTION:5-70pts.wt. glass fiber having a diameter of 6-20mu and a length of 0.05-0.5mm and optionally additives such as filler, stabilizer, antioxidant, colorant, tc. are blended with 100pts.wt. compsn. consisting of 99.5-80wt% arom. polycarbonate having an average MW of 10,000-100,000 and 0.5-20pts.wt. acrylic elastomer. The mixture is melt-kneaded and molded. |
