PURPOSE:To improve humidity and printing resistances by using ferrite particles coated with perfluoroalkyl phosphate as a magnetic carrier. CONSTITUTION:The ferrite particles coated with perfluoroalkyl phosphate is used as the magnetic carrier of the binary developer composed of the carrier and a triboelectrifiable toner. Said ester is used, preferably, in an amt. of 0.1-10wt% of said carrier. The use of such a coated carrier permits humidity dependency of the resistivity of the carrier to be eliminated, the negative charge ability of the toner to be retained, and production of agent toner and fogging at the time of making a large number of copies to be prevented. |
