<p>PURPOSE:To obtain excellent optical characteristics such as uniform hue and brightness while a liquid crystal display panel is not impressed with voltage and such as on-off ratio, lightness and hue while the panel is impressed with the voltage by constituting an oriented film near a liquid crystal injection port of a polyimide film. CONSTITUTION:Parallel line-shaped ITO electrodes are formed on a glass substrate 1 and the oriented film 3 consisting of the polyimide film is formed near the liquid crystal injection port 8. The oriented film 4 consisting of a PVA film is formed in the other region. Electrode plates 5, 6 are adhered to face each other via a spacer wall 7 in the direction where the electrodes 2 intersect orthogonally with each other. A liquid crystal is sealed into the spacing therebetween. An irregular pattern is not shown in relief near the port 8 and the brightness and hue uniform over the entire surface are obtd. while the display panel is not impressed with the voltage. The excellent on-off ration, lightness, hue, color tone and responsiveness are obtd. by the characteristics of the film 4 while the panel is impressed with the voltage.</p> |
