PURPOSE:To display a desired curve as if the curve where drawn by a curved rule in drawing by moving diversely a curved rule pattern extracted from a storage section on a screen, setting it to a required position thereby extracting and display a desired line segment. CONSTITUTION:In operating a rule designation button 7, a pattern operating section 14 extracts each curved rule pattern from a storage section 5 and displays in on a display 1 under the control of a control section 4. In operating longitudinal/lateral movement buttons 8, 9 to move the extracted curved rule pattern to a required position, the operating section 14 detecting it converts a coordinate data of each point of the rule into a mobile coordinate data and transmits it to the control section 4. The control section 4 moves the curved rule in proportional to the operating time of the buttons 8, 9. Similar operation is applied to rotation, magnification and reduction of the patterns. Then after a required line segment is designated by a both-end designating button 6 and a cursor, a line segment designation button 13 is operated, the operating section 14 extracts a coordinate data and the control section 4 displays the extracted line segment on the display 1. |
