PURPOSE:To prevent the device from the abnormal burning caused by the burning phenomenon generated at the outside of a main burner by a method wherein a water reservoir detecting part having conductivity is provided on the side lower than the location of a main burner in an energizing line between a flame detecting circuit and a flame rod inserted into the inside of a pilot burner flame. CONSTITUTION:In case that a hot-water heater main body 1 is soaked in water, and the water is raised up to the vicinity of a main burner 2, a water reservoir detecting part 21 located on the lower side is contacted to the water before the main burner 2 is contacted to the water. At the contacting of the water reservoir detecting part 21 with the water as mentioned above, the electric potential of an earth wire 14 side and that of a flame rod 12 side become of the same level via stored water in the water reservoir, accordingly, the flame electric current is stopped. Therefore, a main gas solenoid valve 7 is closed by a control part 10, then the burning in the main burner 2 is stopped by stopping the fuel gas ignition from a main nozzle 4 to the main burner 2. Thus, the abnormal burning caused by the burning phenomenon generated at the outside A of the main burner 2 is prevented. |
