PURPOSE:To improve printing speed by updating reading address of the page memory after a preset amount of image stored in the small area have been transmitted, and where the page memory have been divided into two equivalent capacities, small area and large area. CONSTITUTION:Page memory 16 is divided into area A, A' of small capacity and area B of large capacity, and the address of area A is preset in register 12 with printing image exploded in CPU11 memory 16 in order of A area, B area. After exploded, printing instruction is given the printer mechanism 18 as well as presetting the A area as reading in the counter 13. The CPU11 giving printing instructions, presets address of A' area in register 12, and explodes the image on the following page. When memory 16 starts outputting to the printer, reading to memory 16 is carried out parallelly, and after exploding image of A' area, the reading address is checked and images are exploded in the vacant places of B area where read out.
