PURPOSE:To prevent the outflow from the outlet of a tower, by providing an inlet pipe to the ceiling part of the tower to communicate the same with the primary cooling system of a nuclear reactor while providing an outlet pipe to the bottom part of the tower and providing a resin holding screen in the tower. CONSTITUTION:When a cooling material is purified, the cooling material is passed through inlet pipe 1 ion exchange resin in ion exchange resin tower 10 resin holding screen 12 outlet pipe 2. AT the exchange time of a resin after the cooling material was purified, valves V-1, V-2 are closed to stop the supply of water and valves V-41, V-42, V-31, V-34 are subsequently opened to perform backwashing by pure water. Next, valves V-33, V-43 are then opened to transfer the waste resin in the order of pure water supply line 3-2 ion exchange resin 11 in ion exchange resin tower 10 resin holding screen 12 ion exchange resin discarding line 4 water resin transfer line 4-2. |
