PURPOSE:To obtain a gas separation composite membrane holding good gas permselectivity and excellent gas permeability, by laminating a siloxane compound and a polymer having a gas separation property to a porous support layer. CONSTITUTION:A porous support layer has a thickness of 0.001-10mm and air transmissivity of 1-100m<3>/m<2>hr 0.1atm.(25 deg.C). A membrane of a siloxane compound (with a thickness of 100-2,000Angstrom ) is formed to this support layer by a casting method on water, an ultrafiltration method and a plasma polymeri zation method and an extremely thin film with a thickness of 50-1,000Angstrom having a gas separation property comprising a substituted acetylene polymer, a vinyl organosilane polymer, an alpha-olefin polymer, a cellulose polymer is further formed onto the siloxane compound membrane.
