PURPOSE:To obtain the twisting cable of long size and large diameter in a short place by inserting the element wire of preparatorily twisted parallel line cable through the collecting plate rotating reversely to the preparatory twisting and by giving a twist to the parallel line cable with rewinding in order the preparatory twist. CONSTITUTION:Each element wire 1 to which a preparatory twist is given is drawn as a parallel line cable 3 by passing the element wire 1 delivered from the bobbin 8 of each delivery machine 7 through the preparatory twist giving device 2 consisting of adjusting plates 9A-9G. A twisting is then given to the cable 3 by rotating the focusing plate 4 in the direction of rewinding the preparatory twist as well as drawing continuously from the device 2 with the state of locking the rotation by the end part 11 the cable 3 inserted through the focusing plate 4. A retwisting is given in order to the cable 3 to be drawn from the device 2 and the twisting cable 5 is wound on the drum 6 after winding a tape 12. The twisting cable of long size and large diameter can be thus produced continuously in a short place.
