PURPOSE:To eliminate the difficulty in rolling cotnrol arising from the rolling load which is approximately the same in each pass and to obtain a product having thickness accuracy by applying the rolling load different from the rolling load of the other work rolls to only the prescribed work roll. CONSTITUTION:The 2nd housing 6 is attachably and detachably housed into a housing 2 and a screw down device 7 for applying the load to at least one piece of the work roll is installed in the housing 6. The load generated in the device 7 is loaded to a work roll chock WC3 via a transmission part 8 by which the load to be applied to the work roll WR3 is generated. The 2nd screw down control device, storage setter, adder, etc. are provided in order to control the load to be applied to the roll WR3 by controlling the device 7.
