NEW MATERIAL:The fluorine-containing aromatic monomer of formula. USE:The polymer produced therefrom is useful as a paint, fiber-processing agent, mold-release agent, resin modifier, optical fiber-protecting agent, selective permeation membrane, etc. PREPARATION:The compound of formula can be prepared by heating pentafluorobenzoic acid and N-methacryloyl aziridine in a solvent such as methyl ethyl ketone, toluene, etc. at 30-130 deg.C, if necessary in the presence of a polymerization inhibitor (e.g. hydroquinone, metoquinone, etc.).
