PURPOSE:To lower cost by omitting fire extinguishing water piping, by connecting fire extinguishing water piping to piping for compressed air for falling the dust adhered to a filter through a valve and controlling said valve by a temp. detector. CONSTITUTION:Filters 2 are mounted in a dust collector main body 1 and dust is collected in this main body 1 while air is exhausted from an exhaust port 12. Piping 4 for compressed air used in falling the dust adhered to the filters 2 is arranged and fire extinguishing water piping 5 is connected to said piping 4 through a valve 6 and a valve 7 is also provided between the piping 4 and an accumulator 15. The valves 6, 7 are controlled by the output of a temp. detector TH and, when temp. equal to or higher than set temp. is detected, the valve 6 is opened and the valve 7 is closed to sprinkle fire extinguishing water from nozzles.
